Welcome to the department of chemical Engineering
The Department of Chemical Engineering was established in 1963 with an undergraduate program in Chemical Engineering. The department currently runs undergraduate (B.Tech.), postgraduate (M.Tech.), and doctoral (Ph.D.) programs in Chemical Engineering. The department grew and set very high standards in teaching and cutting-edge research. The department pursues research in the broad area of chemical engineering, such as liquid & solid waste management, green catalysis, sustainable energy, energy storage, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, microfluidics, CFD, rheology, process design and intensification, process modeling & simulation, drug delivery, transport & separation processes, process safety, CO2 capture & utilization, and biochemical and bioprocess engineering. Over the years, the department has supported the local chemical industries. The department runs a center of excellence sponsored by the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers.
